Gennadiy Mikhailovich Gatilov

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Russian Federation

H.E. Mr. Gatilov is Responsible for a broad range of multilateral diplomatic matters related to Russia’s participation in the UN, its specialised agencies for international economic, environmental, and humanitarian cooperation, and human rights, UNESCO-related issues, interstate cooperation in sport, tourism and culture.

Prior to the appointment of his current role in 2011, Mr. Gatilov held variety of diplomatic roles, including of the Director of the Department of International Organizations, Senior Adviser at the UN Secretary-General’s Executive Office, and the First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN.
